NOBLESSE OBLIGE

Kate, a young, naive New York City socialite, invites Jake, her current crush, to her family’s country house in the Hamptons for the weekend. Once he arrives, Jake finds himself thrown into a swirl of family intrigue inhabited by an eccentric cast of aristocrats including Julia (Kate’s domineering step-mother); a shrewd, cynical architect named Manuel; Dylan – Kate’s wealthy, recently widowed father – and finally, Harry: the Noble family’s mercurial, apparently gay, and possibly insane eldest son. As the martinis begin to flow on this stiflingly hot summer evening, Jake's ambition takes hold and he begins to ingratiate himself with the family. But soon, Dylan corners him and makes an offer that is equal parts morbid and irresistible to a young man willing to succeed at any cost: in exchange for a duffel bag filled with $1 million in cash, Jake must agree to murder Harry, the family’s infamous black sheep. The night spirals out of control as terrible, age-old secrets of the distinguished family explode into webs of betrayal, corrupted innocence, and revenge.
